33 to 40 is a time-capsule of Penn in 2016 - a snapshot of the campus stylistically and culturally. The title 33 to 40 is a homage to the streets Penn is positioned on. This publication is part photo-book and part cultural documentary.
I photographed the book along with Alex Fisher, the founder of the book. He was inspired by the iconic 1965 Japanese publication ‘Take Ivy’ - a cultural sensation described by the New York Times as “part style manual for Japanese fans of American “trad” style and, somewhat inadvertently, an ethnographic study”.
